Sreenath Induchoodan is a banking professional, trade union leader, and legal practitioner from Kerala, India. With over a decade of experience in the financial sector and a strong background in labor rights, he has built a career that blends professional excellence with social commitment.

Born on October 21, 1986, Sreenath comes from a family rooted in public service. Academic & Professional Background

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from Kerala Agricultural University (2005–2009) and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Kerala Law Academy (2018–2022). His professional journey began in 2010 when he joined Union Bank of India as a Probationary Officer. He is currently pursuing LLM in Constitutional Law & Legal Order)

Leadership in Trade Union Movement

His trade union journey started in 2011 and quickly gained momentum. Over the years, Sreenath has held key positions at state and national levels, including:

  • General Secretary – Union Bank Officers Association Kerala (UBOAK)
  • State Secretary – All India Bank Officers Confederation (AIBOC) Kerala
  • Senior Vice President – AIBOC, the largest officers’ trade union in India
  • Working President, All India Union Bank Officers Federation

Legal Advocacy & Public Engagement

As a practicing defence representative, Sreenath has represented officers across all levels of Union Bank of India in more than 400 disciplinary cases.

He is also active as:

  • Director of the Chennai Cooperative and Thrift Society (since 2018)
  • Financial analyst and legal commentator featured on news channels and All India Radio
  • RTI activist and writer, contributing articles to Newspapers, Journals, and Online platforms

A seasoned legal practitioner, he has appeared in over 400 disciplinary proceedings within Union Bank of India, defending officers from Scale I to top executive levels, including General Managers and Chief General Managers. Since 2018, he has also been serving as Director of the Chennai Cooperative and Thrift Society. His significant contributions to cooperative governance and board-level leadership have further strengthened the institutional integrity of this key sector.
